Dear All,
Well what do I do first?
Congratulate Ivan on becoming the third fastest person on the GP course?
Thank Tony Wallett (START FITNESS) for the excellent spot prizes that he supplied on Tuesday?
Think of things to say about Relentless Roaring Renney who again finished third and now has a commanding lead in the current series?
To put Ivan's run into perspective the all time top ten is now as follows:-

TOMMY BRANNON        17.24 1987/1988
PETER McDAID        17.28 1989/1990
IVAN HOLLINGSWORTH      17.33    2003/2004
MICHAEL MORRIS        17.34 1998/1999
ALAN CATLEY              17.47 1987/1988
PETER SAINT                    17.49 1990/1991
COLIN TAYLOR              17.55 1992/1993
DAVE ROBSON              18.09 1988/1989
BRAD SIMPSON              18.11 2001/2002
ROBERT WALKER        18.12 2002/2003

At least Bard Brannon goes into the New Year as the record holder with the time that he managed inthe very first Grand Prix.
As regards START FITNESS - well what can one say over and above the comments on Tuesday. Oh yes. Congratulations to I Ave Indicated Now That Wunning At Distant Domains Loses Everyone (Surely on a race everyone should follow the leader - or did the leader go wrong??) for both navigating the Grand Prix course successfully and finding his way unaided to the Briar Dene and helping with the Spot Prize Presentations.
As for Roaring Renney with successive times of 23.44, 23.37 and 22.26 can he keep improving to beat the handicapper? How is it that Horrendous says to me "I saw Roaring last night p*ss*d as a *a**. There is no way he will run the Grand Prix" and yet it is Roaring who runs well, Horrendous who says "Perhaps it would help you if I marshalled tonight" and it was stone cold sober Andy Capper who drops out after 800 yards?
What about His Excellency? Been running since the last century, has often represented his country and then says "Mister Andy Capper I have forgotten my shorts - may I borrow yours please?"
The Yellow Jersey competition is still far from over with the top ten places being as follows:-
Roaring Renney 7pts, Ambling Addyman (Phil does NOT lose his way in races) 35 pts. Viscountess Gilroy (non posh end of the street) 40 pts,
Duke Dickinson of Blyth (successfully answered all question posed to him by the Shortless Excellency on Tuesday evening) 40 pts,
Wee Whatty 54pts, Martin - don't mention ex Arsenal and now struggling namesake Tony at Wycombe - Adams 57pts,Mighty Mellor also 57 pts, Bard Brannon 58 pts, Baroness Bruce 59 pts and Marchioness Morris also 59pts.Please note Horrendous that pts is an abbreviation for points and not pints!!!
On the night the fastest non humans were Lady Leanne from Blyth 23.51 just ahead of Dame Davis 23.54 and Marchioness Morris 24.23.
The team competition has two points separating four teams with Bouncing Bakers GTS leading with 60 points followed by - all on 58 points - Crafty Calboutin VM, Wondrous Woodward WW (has anyone ever seen Wondrous at a GP???) and The Duke of Blyth G2M. You will note that I have not mentioned how well Wee Whatty and Kneecapper ran on Tuesday. The reasons are because one of them will take great delight in hammering me in training this evening and I cannot risk the other injuring me as I think I am now nearly injury free.To nearly finish a serious request to NSP competitors please.Could His Excellency and this umble peasant have some volunteers with providing transport to fetch and carry the finishing funnel
equipment, loud hailer and prize Tshirts for the next four GP's.His excellency can no longer guarantee attending any GP 'cos of work commitments and it was touch and go this peasant having a car available for the third consecutive time.I shall be helping Harry Norman on Boxing Day and will probably help with The Run for Bob a couple of days later. Please feel free to offer me bribes etc to have you handicaps adjusted.
Oh yes - I have had to alter ALL handicaps this time to avoid the first competitor starting at minus one minute. If you have reached this far then I wish you a very Happy Christmas and a successful New Year.
